Preventing cavities is easier than you might think. There are four things you can do on a regular basis that will keep the tooth decay at bay, and those things are:

· Keep up with oral hygiene: It is very important that you brush your teeth every morning and every night, floss at least once a day, and rinse your mouth with mouthwash daily. It doesn’t matter what time of day you floss and rinse, but as long as you do them, you are on the right track.
· Have a balanced diet: Do your best to eat a balanced diet each day. Having a balanced diet will help your teeth remain healthy and strong. Also, try to eat more fruits and vegetables and try to avoid snacking all day.
· Use fluoride: Fluoride is the best mineral for your teeth. It strengthens and nourishes your pearly whites and gives them the strength to fight off tooth decay and other dental issues. So, make sure you take advantage of our professional fluoride treatment when you come into our office and use fluoride products each day at home, like fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash.
· Visit your dentist: Your dentist and dental team are the only ones who can help you completely prevent tooth decay as well as gum disease, which is why it is so important to visit your dentist every six months for a dental cleaning and exam. During these appointments, your smile will be deeply cleaned, the plaque on your teeth will be removed, and any dental problem will be fixed.

If you keep up on oral hygiene, have a balanced diet, use fluoride, and visit your dentist, you will have a high chance of preventing tooth decay and other dental problems.
